Acting Chairman ASUBEB: Gov. Ikpeazu has done well in Basic Education Development in Abia

* Congratulates Rt. Hon. Chinedum Orji for his emergence as Abia House of Assembly Speaker

The Acting Executive Chairman, Abia State Universal Basic Education Board (ASUBEB), Elder Josiah Okechukwu Anonaba believes that the Abia State Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu, in this his second tenure in office is going to consolidate on the foundational vision he has already laid down in his past four years. He said they expect the governor to continue with his vision and good governance he has already established and perfect them.

The acting Executive Chairman of ASUBEB, elder Anonaba, in an interview said governor Ikpeazu has done visibly well from the outlook of basic Education development in Abia state especially in the areas of school infrastructural development (construction and renovation of school buildings, furniture), provision of school materials such as textbooks, computers, and also salute the governor for improving on the school meal. “In fact governor Ikpeazu has promoted free and compulsory Education which is the basis of UBE programme”, he said.

He said Abia children are really feeling the impact of the UBE national cake under the administration of the Abia Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu.
He equally congratulated Rt. Hon. Chinedum Orji for his emergence as the speaker of the 7th Abia State house of Assembly, describing him as a friend of the youths and Abia children.

Elder Anonaba said Rt. Hon. Chinedum Orji has shown much love to the school system by building schools and providing other necessary social amenities to the schools, following the infrastructural development by UBEC, and expressed confidence in him that he will be a great asset to the basic Education development in Abia State as the speaker of the Abia state house of Assembly.
