ENUGU 2019: Gov. Ugwuanyi Described as Daniel of the time as Ezeagu LG Endorses him for Second term.

As Daniel in the Bible was described as a man with uncommon insight, intelligence and outstanding wisdom to solve difficult problems, the Executive Chairman, Ezeagu Local Government Council, Hon. Chukwudi Fred Ezinwa, Likewise has described the Governor of Enugu State, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi as the Daniel of the time whose leadership qualities has the same uncommon insight, intelligence and outstanding wisdom to solve difficult problems which according to the chairman has set a veritable platform for good governance in Enugu State.

The Ezeagu LG mayor noted this at a Civic reception organised for Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi by Gburugburu Movement Ezeagu chapter on Saturday 17th March.
Hon. Ezinwa said, “Your Excellency, I renamed you the Daniel of our time. Actually you’re Excellency you are the Daniel of our time. You came to save us from bad Governance. you have set a platform of good governance that friends now talk with friends, friends now move with friends, friends now interact with friends, unlike in the time past where we were restricted from where you will go or where you will be.

“This is the first time in the history where Academicians, Barristers, Businessmen, professionals, native doctors, Clergy men come together to support a Governor.

The Ezeagu LG Chair said the Achievement of Governor Ugwuanyi's two years and few months in office is so great so as if he is ending his second term, adding that choosing his deputy from Ezeagu, appointing an Ezeagu son as his Chief of Staff, building two strong links road to Ezeagu as well as the siting of the free trade zone at Akam and Okwuofia Land which if completed according to Hon. Ezinwa will make every Ezeagu man millionaire and turn the area to a modern city are clear evidence that Ezeagu people are a major stakeholders in his Government.

In her speech, the Deputy Governor, Hon. Cecilia Ezeilo, who is from Ezeagu thanked the governor for his good works in Enugu State, and Ezeagu in particular, adding that no community in Enugu State that does not have one political appointment. “We are enjoying peace in Enugu. His Excellency recognised that he is the Governor of Enugu State not Governor of PDP. He showed it by his output and relationship to all. I was shocked when we went to the burial of the former vice president Alex Ekwueme, at the airport, the Governor gave other chairmen of political parties Enugu State convoy, that depicts his well-trained humanitarian person, his political sagacity, and spirit of accommodation", the deputy governor said.

Her Excellency, Hon. Ezeilo also thanked the governor for taking democracy to the grassroots by doing at least one project in every communities through the traditional rulers and PGs, which she said is ignored for  many years.

The Chairman, Gburugburu Movement Ezeagu, Prof. Chike Anibueze in his remarks said, “I and my Committee members are standing before you here today to actualise the galvanised thoughts of the entire Ezeagu people to host this Civic Reception for his Excellency Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi. We therefore represent and Actualise the shared sentiment of His Royal Highness, Political Stakeholders, the Academia, Business Mogul, Ezeagu Women groups, Civil servants, Traders, Trade unions, farmers, Youths and others.

“We want to assure you sir that we are deeply committed to the Gburugburu Project, not only on political party basis but also out of a deep conviction in your people oriented governance.

“The only way we can show Your Excellency our firm belief in the Gburugburu model is to ensure that we have the ticket to ride on the Gburugburu Political Train”.
