PROGRESSIVE SOLIDARITY FORUM, PSF, HOLDS ITS  INAUGURAL MEETING IN ABIA STATE

...promises to end imposition /godfatherisim in politics

Progressive Solidarity Forum, PSF, a sociopolitical association established in 2012 in the United Kingdom by Nigerians in diaspora to advocate for good leadership, rule of law,  transparency and accountability in governance recently held it's inaugural meeting in Umuahia the  Abia state capital.


Part of the forum mission is the establishment  of charity trust fund to support  innovative life changing program liaising with Nigerians at the grassroot  levels to facilitate fullfilment  of the people  contract  of right to good  and responsible  governance

Addressing  representative  from the 17 local government areas of Abia state  Review Daniel Adimibe  said that forum trends in almost  all state  but  a new  baby in Abia state

He informed the participants  that they are specially  selected because of their track record of being grassroot mobilizer  and social crusade for  good governance  he mainted that when the good  ones refuse to participate  in politics  the bad  ones become prominent.

Also addressing  the participate the south east Co-ordinator Nze  Henry okpara and the IMO Co-ordinator  High Chief Valentine OKERE say that progressive  solidarity  forum  stands  for everything good as it concerns  the people.  They stand for equity against  injustice, imposition  of leaders, fair play,  equal opportunity  for everyone as well as justice to all.

According to South East Co-ordinator, Henry  okpara, they are in Abia to establish PSF and therefore, urge the participants to move I to every nook and cranny of the state and sensitize the people on what to look out for in a candidate, with the view of ensuring that the best were elected at all times

Okpara I insisted that the era of of sharing rice, wrappers, cash few months to election is over,  saying that as a sociopolitical association they are bent on enlightening the people on the dangers of selling their vote and its consequences, "we know that godfatherisim still thrives, we know that of imposition of candidates, we know of cash for vote syndrome, yes all these we also know affects the society adversely, hence we are hellbent on stopping them. We believe that we can achieve all these and more if we join hands together. All these anormalies in the system are responsible for undue hardship our people are going through in the midst of plenty “he said.
