SHELL COMMISSIONS SCIENCE LABORATORY IN ABIA COLLEGE

In other to promote high quality learning and innovations in Science subjects in a conducive environment, Shell Nigeria exploration and production company in partnership with other players in the sector have commissioned a science laboratory block at AGGREY Memorial Model College, Arochukwu. 


Managing Director Shell Nigeria, Bayo Ojulari,  represented by the Business Development Manager, Segun Owolabi, informed that,  the aim was to promote educational excellence in sciences which was part of their larger support programmes to help Nigeria youths. 

According to Owolabi, their effort will support the government in the task of providing high quality educational facilities in public schools. 
Principal of the school, Peter Ugbuta, an elder from the community, Goodluck Irokanuhu and representative of the college alumni,Grace Okoro, thanked the donor organization for choosing AGGREY Memorial Model College of the many options available to them. 

However, like the proverbial Oliver Twist, they pleaded for more of this kind, to be done for them.

The integrated science block was fully equipped for physics, chemistry and biology classes.

According to the representative of Shell Nigeria MD, Segun Owolabi, with what is on ground, a lot is expected from the students. 

AGGREY Memorial Model College was founded in 1931, 87 years ago by Kate Alvan Ikoku.
